As a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization, the BCC is increasingly active in the areas of education, public outreach/engagement, research, and policy. We are increasing awareness of the economic and social benefits of Bitcoin both in Canada and globally, increasing adoption and use of Bitcoin across Canada. We are growing the base of evidence underscoring Bitcoin's positive social, economic and environmental impact, working across the political spectrum to help diverse policymakers at federal, provincial and municipal levels better understand how Bitcoin is a multi-faceted solution to many of our most pressing challenges. In 2025, we will:

• Amplify positive messages from everyday Bitcoiners across Canada, increasing public visibility and awareness of the various benefits of Bitcoin for Canada and the world.

• Support local Bitcoin meet-ups / communities across Canada to increase visibility and participation, and to support them as part of a national network, growing the Bitcoin movement across Canada.

• Release, distribute, and promote federal recommendations on policy actions that will enable Canada to become one of the best jurisdictions in the world to hold and use Bitcoin. 

• Grow the BCC website and other communications channels, providing “go to” resources for the public, policymakers, researchers, and news media.

• Advance Canadian-led research underscoring the social, economic and environmental benefits of Bitcoin and Bitcoin mining.

• Develop and nurture key partnerships in Canada (eg, conferences, Bitcoin companies) and beyond (eg, other national Bitcoin policy groups) so that we can leverage collective capacity and resources.

• Host in-person and virtual forums that provide education to and resources for policymakers and news media, underscoring Bitcoin’s positive impact across Canada and around the world.

• Develop and implement a multi-year plan to achieve our mission, with emphasis on long-term sustainability, clear deliverables and milestones.
